1. SO MUCH RICE. I laughed out loud at the last short of the nap room XD And Sera complaining about having to carry it all.
2. Saeki let Tokai do that operation in the end, but is he still kicking him out? I assume not, but... hmm.
3. Neko ♥ If Tokai's leaving, she's leaving? :O
4. Did you spot all the name references to (mainly) Sho and Nino drama characters in the list of journal authors? I didn't, but here is a tweet that points out a lot of them... I wonder why it is mainly Sho and Nino, though? Promo for some upcoming Sho/TBS thing? Well anyway, as a Sakumiya fan I am happy ♥
5. GO TAKASHINA betraying Saeki, so good. Kinoshita also keeps going behind his back too. Team betraying Saeki is the best! Betraying Nishizaki would be good too, though.
6. The whole... catheter/SNIPE combo thing. Can that even go in the paper? I feel like it should be a whole separate paper since it's such a nonstandard use of the device. Hmm.
7. More Tokai pretending to constantly nap but secretly studying ways to make the operation succeed ♥
8. Kurosaki is so pitiful. His constant defending of Saeki and distressed faces in the background really make me laugh.
9. Nice to see residents other than Sera getting to do something!
10. What does boss nurse know about Tokai and the pean X-ray?
11. Maybe I'm wrong but there was no emo smoking scene this time, was there? Well... good.
12. More Tokai's mum phone call scenes please, they are hilarious. He's so grumpy talking to her, I love it. Tokai, you should have told her you gave Hanabusa some rice! She'd be happy!

Thank you for the spoilers! I wasn't been able to watch the ep tonight </3 but I do welcome spoilers! Bc they make excite meeee! XD Saw some tweets referring to the names on the papers. So far I can only point out Nino characters (sorry Sho!). Looking forward to watch what really happened between Tokai and Saeki, from the looks of it in the prev eps, Tokai's just waiting for his bubble against Saeki to burst (and must have been related to his father *speculation only*). Aaand yeah, if it's a nonstandard use of the device, I believe it should be on a different paper. Hmm seems like the guys are quite creative now. Haha. Can't wait for the raw and the subs! I really liked this episode. Well, I love all the episodes so far. But I really loved Tokai and Takashina working together! And Tokai saying no to Saeki's instructions. And Tokai's advice to Takashina at the end of the episode, right after Saeki had told Tokai and Takashina to believe in him.

1. I can't believe how many bags of rice there were, and how Tokai's mother sent him some to give to Saeki XD

3. I loved when Nekota gave Sera her own stuff when he was carrying out Tokai's belongings!

5. I am hating Saeki so far, so I loved the betrayal too! I'm not a fan of Nishizaki either

6. That was so interesting, I never knew a catheter could be inserted from the thigh and actually reach the heart

7. I can't believe Tokai actually planned a way to save Koharu even though he was banned from surgery

8. Kurosaki feels like a caricature to me, especially with his glasses and way of speaking

12. I would've loved to have heard Tokai's mother's reaction if Tokai mentioned Hanabusa eating rice with him! Tokai's mother is so entertaining and a nice break from the tension in the hospital

3. I missed Nekota this episode, but you're right, her line was a good one. I think every scene she's been in so far has been interesting because of her lines and attitude

6. Yeah this drama is really making me want to learn more about medicine and technology! The diagrams are also super helpful. I wonder if there will be more new technology apart from the SNIPE, or if they'll revamp what they have in new and interesting ways

Totally agrees that the catheter should produce a different paper. I was actually wondering how Tokai manange to make the catheter-snipe  hybrid. Did he make it? Did he ask for adjustment to the producer in the US (Since it's Takashina and Nishizaki who  brought the device to Japan, so I assume the snipe producer has no service center in Japan)? Did Tokai twiddle with the device by himself or did he have a genius technician around too?

Maybe Takashina will write with Tokai as second author (just me starting to ship them). I was happy that Takashina listened to Tokai's warning about Saeki. It is the first time, I think, Tokai is showing his honest opinion about the prof, since he always act more or less "your wish is my comand" to Saeki.

(Edit) about Sakurai and Ninomiya drama, I didn't notice that without the tweet. But I kind of heard in episode 2 or 3 that the area name is Sakuranomiya (a fictional town, I guess because the only real Sakuranomiya I found is in Osaka, while the setting is said in Toukai region). Maybe it's because TBS only has Sho as regular in their station and not the whole Arashi? It's kind of sad, since their Arashi TV shows are the ones I love the most.

I wonder why no smoking scene this episode too. I was expecting that since Tokai seems to smoke after a surgery.

I can't wait for next episode. I want more phonecalls from mama too, and more rice delivered.

I'd like to know about the catheter thing too. I think it would have taken too long to get permission from the manufacturer, so maybe there's a helpful tech at the hospital too... I don't get the impression that there's anyone other than Kinoshita to represent the manufacturer in Japan.

It's the first time I remember Tokai going against Saeki. Interesting.

As for Sakuranomiya, I think the town is already called that in the book this is based on, so it probably isn't named after Sho and Nino, but maybe that's why they picked those names. Or maybe the prop maker is a Sho fan?

I thought Tokai is good to stay in the hospital and is not getting kicked out cause he decided to do the operation after all. That was my takeaway cause also Tokai later then wears his card again , the one that Saeki snatched and dropped when he kicked him out. (correct me if i am wrong but i think he did lol)

My favorite scene was Neko being ready to quit with Tokai tbh.. but that's not surprising. I love them ♥

On rewatching, I think you're right. Tokai is wearing his card again at the end, so I guess Saeki spun it as "he agreed to follow my original order, so I won't fire him after all".

10. I think she know enough for Tokai-sensei to be wary of her. Like, if doesn't want anyone to know about it, she could've taken the x-ray away after Miwa left. I think one reason why she didn't was because she would be one of those Tokai-sensei would suspect of doing that and wanted to avoid that. But again, this is my thoughts running wild XD

13. I actually don't get how now the points from the paper would go to Takashina-sensei's and Nishizaki-kyouji, and not Saeki-kyouji. Like technically, he had both names written on it, no? Do you know why?

14. I feel like Kinoshita is the most savage character in this drama and I love her for that >v<
Her throwing sarcasm at Saeki-kyouji about Impact Factor is A+++!

++. I'm actually curious about what Tokai-sensei said to Koharu-chan on the preview, like what did he said about Takashina-sensei. I googled it and it said "Takashina-sensei was being mad at" but Sera's expression kinda shows how he respected Tokai-sensei there. So now I'm doubting google XDD

10. The head nurse does seem to be loyal to Saeki based on the scene in episode 1 where they make Sera redo his report, but I wonder if she actually knows about this pean X-ray thing.

13. I think that in real life it could go to all three of them, but it seems like they're trying to simplify the system for the drama. Or maybe we can think of it as: this is how they are counting impact factor scores for the purpose of the chair selection.

14. Yeah, in this episode she went from "annoying" to "hilariously mean" for me XD

10. True, I think it’s weird if she knows abt it, but her expression as Miwa left is kinda suspicious. So my guess is either she knows almost everything or knows nothing and just worried that Tokai-sensei will rebel against Saeki-kyouji.

13. I actually rewatched it again and I think Takashina-sensei referred to Teika in general when he said that the impact factor belongs to him and Nishizaku-kyouji (since he said that he has no use of Tojo anymore afterwards). Also, I just realized that they mention that the impact factor will go to the name at the very bottom, not at the end of the document, which in this case is Nishizaki-kyouji. So that might be why? XD

14. I love her for her sarcasm, quick and on point information gathering, and her beautiful voice tbh XDD

I'm starting to wonder if Takashina's sob story about saving Koharu was just one way to obtain the impact factor that he and Professor Nishizaki wanted all along.

I think Tokai's not leaving yet, since Takashina betrayed Saeki and Saeki can't afford to let another talented doctor leaving his team. Poor Sera though, he'd have to move those bags of rice back into the nap room again.

Hm, I wonder. I got the impression that it was Nishizaki's idea to make use of Koharu's case, but it's definitely possible that it was Takashina's idea too.
