(spoilers) thoughts on Killing For The Prosecution

In general I enjoyed this film, but it was so packed with information that I had to go back and rewatch the last half hour of it to understand what was going on (I lost track around the lemonade-poisoning stuff, I think). My husband said - and I agree - that this would have been better as a drama than a film. They could easily have added more backstory for the reporter and Mogami's daughter and grandfather, and the stuff with the politician could have been made a lot clearer too, I think. But still, it was pretty good.

Nino is great ♥ As expected. But I don't understand why the trailers all made such a big deal of him copying Matsukura's weird mouth popping noise when it didn't really have anything to do with anything.

The most confusing scene for us was this part... We paused and stared at it for a few minutes.
- What the heck is up with the part at the blue arrow? Did Nino dislocate his hip? We tried to recreate this position (lol) but our main conclusion is that Nino is really short XD
- Why is Nino's foot so purple?! He must have pins and needles from this ridiculous and uncomfortable-looking position.
- Why didn't they just get on the mattress that is clearly right next to them??
The more I look at this the more confusing it seems. What is Nino doing with his legs? Who thought this was a good position for them to lie in?? Why.

If you want to see a great film with a similar vibe, I recommend Memoirs of a Murderer (22年目の告白-私が殺人犯です)! (It's a remake of a Korean film called Confession of Murder, but I haven't seen that version.)

Oh my god!!! I just talking about this position with one of my friend. And we just laughing and didn't see that legs position at all 😂
Thank you for pointing this out. I will share it to her 😂

Thank you! I am glad someone else had an issue with this positioning. How do they even get in this position? Also maybe it's just me, but I don't think I would find laying next to someones feet enjoyable.
Overall it was a good movie, but it feels like all the subplots just got left hanging.
A+ Acting from Nino and Kimura.

Omg your last two points! And i wanna see Okino kiss Saho back not only the noise they bumped on sthg lol.
Yeah it would be better for a drama series or 2 ep of drama sp maybe and the novel is so thick i m not surprised the story is too full packed xD

Lol totally about the post sex position but I think the director want to give the message that there was no love between them just a sexual tension to release thats why the pose it is so akward. Also, they didnt use the bed because Nino was packing so there were things on his bed so with the heat of the moment they did it on the floor lol
About the leg, i think that is not Nino's leg maybe a lamp in his apartment that got cover when they tried to cover themselves lol
According to Cosmopolita that position is called the Gymnastic lol

I really enjoyed this movie. Yes, some things needed to be more deepened, but overall was really a good movie. I found interesting the "dancers" , it reminded me the use of the chorus in Greek tragedies, even if they didn't speak here. :)

I really enjoyed the movie, but I did have to rewatch the last scene and I still don't know if I fully understand the meaning behind the ending scene. I don't mind it being left open ended like that, and as I rewatched scenes I do appreciate all the foreshadowing that was placed throughout the movie. I agree though, that if it were a drama they could expand on Mogami's family's story and then it might have been easier to decipher. From the above comments, I hadn't realized that this was a book, and that would explain the feeling that a lot of information was packed in there - in light of that I guess it did pretty well as a movie.

You're right, the lip smacking thing wasn't all that relevant but maybe they had just been super impressed with Nino's ad lib. That was also one of my favourite scenes because Nino really brought the intensity to that scene, which I could really appreciate more when I saw it in context.

Yeah idk about that positioning post sex. Maybe this was a compromise for not being able to show any more intimacy between an Arashi member and an actress than that one kiss scene.

So I'm not alone who didn't understand what happen in this movie? Haha
I got confuse after 90 minutes (even I understand what happen after 60 minutes) and yeah it'd be better if it's become a drama. Really agree with your thought

I also got confused at some parts -and the blue arrow thing also caught my attention- especially with the one regarding Kimura's political friend, and I agree, a two hour's movie is too short to pack it with so many things, and it should have been better developed as a drama instead. But what confused me most was the final scene, why did Nino scream? Of frustration? I was hoping he'd fall off in pain after that or something else but not the final credits XD
