Well, the head nurse is Miwa's boss, so I guess it's harder to refuse her... I feel sorry for her still but I hope she stands up for herself more, too.
There must be more to the story about Iinuma and Tokai's dad, definitely.
Takashina could be a good candidate, actually! He wrote a lot of papers after all. But maybe he's not experienced enough yet.
