I'd like to know about the catheter thing too. I think it would have taken too long to get permission from the manufacturer, so maybe there's a helpful tech at the hospital too... I don't get the impression that there's anyone other than Kinoshita to represent the manufacturer in Japan.

It's the first time I remember Tokai going against Saeki. Interesting.

As for Sakuranomiya, I think the town is already called that in the book this is based on, so it probably isn't named after Sho and Nino, but maybe that's why they picked those names. Or maybe the prop maker is a Sho fan?
