Between Sunday lunch and mah jong this afternoon, I managed to finish another book: #49: HIV/AIDS: A Very Short Introduction by Alan Whiteside (from the OUP's Very Short Introduction series). I found it really interesting - having forgotten pretty much everything I learned about HIV in school, this book does a good job of covering the social causes and political impacts of the disease as well as its biology. Definitely recommended as a quick way to get up to speed on HIV/AIDS (although I believe it was published in 2006, so it isn't totally current; it gives you some good leads on where to get more information, however).

Adam has set up an xbox* live account, so you will be pleased to hear that we now have the Portal song for Rock Band (as I can tell because he just sang it twice in a row and then played it on the drums). Grr, I want to play Lost Odyssey**!

* I have given up trying to remember how to capitalise this.
** Some day I will remember which letter to double - curse you Abe!

[eta: How did I forget to mention my tv-related glee? Not only was last night's Merlin episode fantastic (and now Shaney is watching too, so I can beep at her about it), but there is new Top Gear in... just over two hours! \o/ AWESOME)
