1. What did Clara say when the truth field people asked her name?
2. Why didn't the truth field immediately force the Doctor to answer the question?
3. So wait... when he said the tenth one regenerated twice, who does that mean? War Doctor is 9, so Ecclestone is actual 10 and 11? Or Tennant 10? I am angry about this.

Well, it was fine I guess. If I liked Amy I guess I would have been more into it? But whatever. I didn't really like the narration parts or care about Amy, but the church/Silence parts were cool. I am looking forward to Capaldi, though!

2. I assumed the truth field meant IF you answered you had to answer truthfully not that it forced you to answer?

3. Surely he was talking about the whole DoctorDonna mess? Which I've seen several people question re: numbers of regenerations.

I didn't need Amy to be there at the end even though I did like her a lot, it just made me sad for Clara (much as everything with Rose makes me sad for Donna & Martha) but I did love Clara's determination to be there and I loved the Church of the Silence.

2. Yeah, I think so, but they said that it was harder to resist closer to the tower (and he was in the tower) and he and Clara seemed to be blurting everything out uncontrollably before! I guess if he'd just immediately said his name that wouldn't have made for such a good story though!

3. Ah, that makes sense.

Yeah, Clara was great! I suppose with all the other callbacks the scene with Amy sort of followed but I could definitely have done without it.

2. It was kind of silly because really the only possible point of the truth field was to make sure the Time Lords got an answer so surely he should have been compelled to answer? But as you say- much shorter story!

I was really disappointed with the whole episode. Steven Moffat is the king of miserable Christmas episodes, and there seems to be this new thing of making every regeneration as sad as possible with the Doctor seeing everyone he has ever known to weep over them and having a long run up to the end to do lots of worthy things and show how integral he is to the universe. In fact, is it me or was it a bit 'the Doctor is like Jesus'. I'm not religious but *shudder*!

Yeah... and I feel like we just did the "oh no, he's going to die forever" thing with Tennant as well. Still, I'm hopeful that the next one will be better.
